Buy ebooks and access codes
CEI frequently asked questions
What is an access code?
An access code is a unique code used to access online course content such as eBooks, labs, or quizzes.
Where do I find my access code?
You might find it in a card with your textbook, an email from the store, or a digital product code in your receipt.
What if my access code doesn’t work?
Contact the publisher’s support team or campus.store@nic.bc.ca if you're having trouble redeeming your code. We’re here to help.
Can I return an access code?
Unfortunately, access codes are non-refundable once purchased. To confirm this, you can click on the "Show Sample Access Code Voucher" link during checkout, which outlines all the terms and conditions provided by the publisher.
How long will my access code subscription last?
Access codes are designed to give students access to online course content for the duration of their studies. The length of access can vary depending on the specific code, typically ranging from 6 months to 2 years. For full details about any access code, click the "Show Sample Access Code Voucher" link during checkout.
I purchased an access code, activated it, and now get a message that says the code has already been activated, what should I do?
Each access code comes with information on how to contact the publisher's technical support team. If you're experiencing issues using your code, we recommend reaching out to the publisher to determine if a technical problem is the cause.
Can I share my code with a friend?
No, each access code is unique and can only be activated by one person.
Can I sell it when I finish my course?
Think of codes like short-term rentals. You don’t own it, so you can’t sell it.
